Lessons From The Battlefield From Two Warriors Who Have Won

For better or for worse, the lessons that really matter are learned in the crucible of life, not in the cleanliness of the classroom. The highs and the lows, the “ah-ha’s” and the “Oh crap’s” that move us ever forward come to us on the battlefield, not in the barracks.
This universally accepted truth is the foundation of September’s Wealth Club. It’s almost here – we meet this Saturday, September 24, from 9:00AM til noon at 5855 Sovereign Dr., Houston 77036.

Lessons From the Battlefield
Until 2004, Clay Cahoon followed the road most traveled. You know – go to school, get a job, and hunker down for 40 years waiting for retirement. In Clay’s case, that meant an MBA in Finance and a nice job as a corporate cog for Shell Oil.
(By the way, do you think that Shell’s founders followed the “road most traveled? No way. If they had, there’d be no Shell Oil. Just thinking out loud…)
Wealth and $ucce$ are not found on the road most travelled, and in 2004, Clay Cahoon changed roads. I asked him when he started investing in real estate. His answer? “10 minutes after I left Shell”. He got on the battlefield. School is now in session.
A True Expert
Today Clay is a $ucce$ful real estate investor. His focus is mostly on tax delinquent properties (a road less travelled) though he won’t turn his nose up at any good deal.
And today, it is fair to say that Clay Cahoon is a true expert on investing in tax delinquent properties. But he’s a different kind of expert. Not an academic who pontificates, but a practitioner who invests. Now, that’s the guy I want to hear from, and I suspect you agree with me.

  • Less expensive to buy per unit than houses

Tom knew from Day One that investing in apartments was a faster, easier, cheaper and less risky path to Financial Freedom than were houses.
